Sunnyside porch house is a light-filled home designed for relaxed, easy living—clean Scandinavian farmhouse lines, natural textures, and spaces that feel calm and uncluttered. With three bedrooms, two baths, and two living rooms, it’s a comfortable place to gather without feeling crowded.
Outside, you’ll find multiple places to settle in: a large covered front porch with sectional seating and a dining table, a lower back deck with lounge seating and a hammock, and an upper deck set high near the treetops—perfect for open skies and quiet evenings. End the day around the backyard firepit.
There’s also a story here. Built in 1887, the home was saved from demolition in 2021 and relocated about a quarter mile from its original village location. After a complete renovation, it now carries a quiet sense of history beneath its modern, easy feel.
Located in a quiet residential area, Sunnyside is just a short stroll to Egg Harbor’s waterfront village—coffee shops, restaurants, the marina, and the beach—then back home to a place that invites you to slow down.

Layout:
Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with two living rooms for spreading out—ideal for families, couples traveling together, or a friends’ getaway.

Kitchen + coffee:
A well-equipped kitchen for family meals, we have everything you need. Island seats 4, dining table seats 6. Fully stocked coffee station for slow mornings. Olive oil, salt & pepper also provided.

Comfort touches:
Large sun-filled windows, original hardwood floors, a cozy gas fire stove, Turkish cotton towels, charging stations in each bedroom, and a few unplug-friendly staples like puzzles and board games.

Baths:
Two deep soaking bathtubs (downstairs has a separate shower, upstairs it's a combo bath/shower) and thoughtfully updated bathrooms.

Supplies:
We provide all bedding, towels, toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags, dish and hand soap, & shower toiletries.

Outdoor living:
A sunny front porch with generous seating and a dining table. There are also accordion patio doors that open fully onto the living room area. A lower back deck with lounge seating and a hammock chair, plus an upper deck off one of the bedrooms with treetop views and open night skies and a gas fire table. A private backyard with a firepit.

Parking + laundry:
Two parking spaces are included. Laundry is located in the basement of the house and is available to guests.

Private yard + optional storage:
The backyard is exclusively yours. Garage stall storage is available upon request.

Location- shared property:
Quiet residential setting with easy walkability to the waterfront village of Egg Harbor. Central base for exploring the rest of Door County by scenic drives, biking, or short hops to parks and shoreline towns. This is a shared property with two other rental units of Sparrow and Key, which is great if you have a large group- rent 1, 2 or all 3 units! There is plenty of parking for all units and privacy was part of the properties design. Interactions with other guests are very minimal and typically only in the parking area. Yards and decks are all private and on their own lots.

A few notes that help keep things easy
Sunnyside is in a residential neighborhood, with other rental properties next door so we ask that outdoor noise and gatherings remain considerate from 11pm-8am.
If you plan to use the firepit, please follow the posted instructions and any local burn advisories or restrictions in effect at the time of your stay.
Please book for the correct number of guests so we can prepare the home properly. If anything needs attention during your stay, we’re nearby and responsive.
